You’re prepared! You’ve spiffed up your appearance to show respect for the court system, and you’re hoping this helps your credibility. You’ve printed the documents you want to bring with you. You know where to go, and when to be there. Showing up at least 15 minutes early is good. Always be on time! Otherwise, you can get in trouble.
Depending on the court house, you may end up in the same room where you were before, in the same crowd, as you wait for your trial to begin.
Now, the time has come for you to exercise your rights to receive a trial. You may be accused, but you are still presumed innocent until proven guilty. Hold your head high, and speak clearly, looking directly at the judge or whomever you are addressing. Judges really hate it when you don’t show them the respect of looking into their eyes when you are speaking with them.
